Racing Updates

July 18, 2010

The Berry race team decided to head down to Berlin Raceway this weekend. We had a lot of trouble on the way there, we blew out two trailer tires so it was looking like the day was heading for a disaster. We finally made it to Berlin, then we unloaded and after practice we were the 5th fastest on the charts. After a few adjustments it was then time to qualify. We ran a 17.77 which made us 3rd fast time. Then it was time for the 4 car dash. After starting 2nd I decided to get the feel of the track better, so I layed off the field and just made laps. Then it was time for the heat race, we decided to scratch and start at the tail to just get the feel of the track better. So we ended up finishing in the back but the car was handling great, and I was pumped for the feature. Then we lined up for the feature, we started 6th and on the drop of the green flag we went from 6th to 3rd. The on lap 15 we had a yellow, after a double file restart I came out in second, but then the car went bad loose and I was just a long for the ride. We lost one spot and ended up 3rd which I was very happy about, Berlin is a lot of fun, and I cant wait to go back.
